Dr. Kamal Matli, MD is a Structural Heart Disease Fellow at UMass Chan Medical School.
He earned his medical degree from the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine in 2016, followed by residency and cardiology training at LAUMCRH in Lebanon. In 2021, he completed his senior year in cardiology in Strasbourg, France, earning a Diploma in Cardiology (DFMS) and a two-year advanced echocardiography diploma from the University of Strasbourg. He subsequently completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris.
Dr. Matli then pursued a two-year Royal College–accredited fellowship in Interventional and Structural Cardiology at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) in Canada. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and is currently focused on advancing his academic career in structural and interventional cardiology.
